NORMA JEAN: New Song Posted Online

July 16, 2008

"Self-Employed Chemist" — one of the highlights on NORMA JEAN's fourth album "The Anti Mother", due out August 5 on Solid State Records — is streaming now on the front page of Alternative Press magazine's web site.

Featuring separate collaborations with Page Hamilton of HELMET and Chino Moreno of DEFTONES, "The Anti Mother" marks NORMA JEAN's most melodic, heaviest and furious material to date. "We've never been this excited about anything we've done," says vocalist/guitarist Cory Brandan.

The Atlanta-based group re-teamed with producer Ross Robinson (SLIPKNOT, THE CURE, DEFTONES) and engineer Ryan Boesch to record "The Anti Mother". The resulting crushing and sonically adventurous 10-song offering easily achieves the artistic and creative high point of NORMA JEAN's career.

NORMA JEAN is currently debuting songs from "The Anti Mother" live to fans all summer long as main-stage headliners on the Vans Warped Tour. Expect the group to announce a fall U.S. tour soon.
